New Talents: Today’s Young Players Blend Tradition and Innovation

As the years pass by, the young jazz musicians of today reach back and take something from the jazz musicians of yesterday, and add their own spin to keep the music genre well blended, and living on. History teaches us that jazz first came on the music scene in the early 1800s when slaves were brought in from West Africa. Since then, feel-good, rhythm and blues, swing, or however one defines the jazz genre, continues to evolve and stay relevant, even in today’s culture.
